Costuming Information

Dear Performing Dance Class Recital Families,

We have loaded the below email and all applicable recital emails on our website www.dancecarmel.com for your continued reference. 

 

Please find the student tights, shoes, hair spreadsheet 

for all dance classes performing in our Sunday, May 28th recital at Sunset Center (Pre-K – Level 6) or our Preschool June 3rd showcase at Mission & 8th in house theater. Big Sur studio N/A.

 

Use this spreadsheet to please double check your dancer has the correct costume and is wearing the correct accessory for the correct dance. Note: all colors and types of shoes requested for recital are the same as what we request to be worn for class at www.dancecarmel.com.

Stage Make-up:

6/3 Preschool Stage Make-up: no make-up

5/28 Stage Make-up:

·      optional Pre-K & K

·      highly recommended Levels Beg.

·      required levels ½+ (focus on bringing out eyes, cheeks, and lips with color to emphasize dancers’ faces on stage)

 

Headpieces: no headpieces, except the following classes: all Preschool (colored headpiece at top of ponytail) and BLUE BOW near the top of the bun: PRE-K, KINDER, and BEG/KINDER, and INTRO. To JAZZ & LYRICAL (Sat. 11:30 AM), securely bobby-pin in, especially in acro, suggestion make X’s with bobby-pins

NOTE: ALL TIGHTS for the May 28th show if the dancer has 2+ dances in a show SHOULD BE CONVERTIBLE or ADAPT-A-TOE, stacked in order of the dances (our staff facilitates all changes backstage). Show Order TBD.
