Theater Production

What is Theater Production?

Students will gain first-hand experience on how to put on a musical from start to finish.
At the first meeting, students will audition with a song they have prepared on their own and provided with cold reading sides from the script to read aloud with other members of the class.
After the casting is completed, students will be responsible to learn all dialogue/music associated with their role and be “off-book” by deadlines provided by the instructors. It is imperative for our students to understand that rehearsal doesn’t happen solely in class - class is where they will learn and it is expected that they practice at home in order to retain the material.

All students will be responsible to assist in creating/sourcing/painting props, costumes, and set pieces allowing them to have a better understanding of the amount of work, time, and planning that goes into a production.  All of their hard work will be showcased with an end-of-the-year performance of their show for their friends and family.
