This month, The Dance Center TDC instructors showed up in force as The Dance Center sponsored a wonderful local non-profit for young people at My Museum’s Fun & Games Night. We, of course, had to sponsor the game, Just Dance!
In January, we also warmly welcomed back Isaiah Bindel, Isadora Duncan Award winner (2018 for solo work) and 2019 nominee for his duet work to instruct select ballet, pointe and contemporary classes throughout this past month. Born and raised on the Central Coast, Isaiah began training at the age of four. After receiving training from TDC’s co-owner Tia Brown-Rosenblum, he obtained his formal training at the University North Carolina School of the Arts, and the San Francisco Ballet School. Soon after, he began his professional career with dawsondancesf, under the direction of Gregory Dawson. He has continued his work with California Ballet Company.
Looking forward, we will be releasing our summer camp and class schedule on March 1st. Six weeks of exciting summer camps, intensives, and classes will be returning with some of your favorite guest instructors. More details to be revealed soon!
In upcoming Team TDC news, our LIVE, FREE Team Dress Rehearsal open to all observers will be taking place on Sunday, February 3rd from 11 AM to 3 PM at Santa Catalina School. The very next week, Team TDC will be attending NUVO, a dance convention and competition, held in Santa Clara. Over 13 teams in the genres of ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz & contemporary, and acro with students from 8 to 17 years old will be representing TDC!
We hope your start to 2019 was a happy one!
