Registration:
Thank you for registering for the upcoming TDC 2015-2016 class season! Fall classes begin August 3rd. We successfully launched our registration and enrollment numbers are steadily building. Please use the promo code “FREE REGISTRATION.” We are happy to incorporate feedback on class times and class additions! You have collectively helped us to make the best possible inaugural TDC schedule.
Class Additions:
Recent modifications and additions to our 2015-2016 class schedule include:
An addition of a Tuesday 2:45 pm Kindergarten Dance Program class taught by Laura
A 6:30 pm Adult Tap class Tuesday, taught by Laura (moved from Saturday 12:30-1:30 pm)
Two Tuesday musical theater classes: Tween Musical Theater from 6-7:15 pm (approx. 4-7th grades) and Teen Musical Theater from 7:15-8:30 pm grades (approx. 8th-12thgrades) taught by musical theater guru Kieri Coombs. Explore Kieri’s extensive resume on our website under “Instructors” and her musical theater classes under “Musical Theater.” Kieri will be an integral part of our show production team. Details coming soon!
Construction Progress:
We are on schedule thanks to McNamee Construction and the hard working crews of their sub-contractors. Leavenworth Electric and MC Mechanical are swiftly completing plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Big items slated for next week include the installation of wall and ceiling insulation. Let’s heat it up or cool it down with an energy efficient building. Other exciting occurrences include the installation of soundproofing inside all the walls of our 4 studios. Turn up that music and dance!
TDC Logo Wear/ Purchasing On-line:
TDC families can now purchase our logo wear online! Please locate the “TDC Merchandise” link under our homepage. Payments may be processed through Studio Director, and merchandise collected in-person. Families may also purchase merchandise directly from Tia and Laura. Two different styles/hues of tanks are in stock, corresponding TDC Capezio dance shorts, and BPA-free TDC water bottles. Last week, our students had fun personalizing their new earth-friendly bottles with chalkboard markers! New arrivals this week include our turquoise, cotton logo cinch sacks for dance shoes. Online stock will incorporate the bags this weekend. We anticipate the arrival of “tiny” TDC tanks (sizes 4T-7/8) early next week. TDC parents, thank you for requesting “parent pullovers.” We are working hard to accommodate this logo wear addition.
Instructor Development:
We have added a phenomenal instructor musical theater powerhouse Kieri Coombs to our roster. As a film director, production head, non-profit director, musical theater studio owner, and international/national tour director, Kieri brings to TDC musical theater chops and unparalleled show production experience. We are also proud of our TDC hip-hop instructor Tori Marquez! This week she attended a workshop with Mariel Madrid and will be studying with both Mariel and Keone this summer. Meanwhile, ballerina Elise Cricchio is already hard at work in her mentorship program under the close direction of Laura and Tia. We look forward to incorporating Elise’s talent into TDC classes this fall.
Team TDC/Auditions/”Newly Added” Team TDC Blog:
Competition team open auditions are ongoing for our mini, junior, teen, senior teams, tap, and ballet teams. We are thrilled with the turnout and are quickly filling up our rosters. If your dancer would like to schedule an audition, please contact us! There will also be a separate Team TDC blog (to complement the weekly Family TDC blog) providing updates on Team TDC rehearsal progress, upcoming events, competitions, fun parent and dancer activities, and choreography. Enjoy reading the “Team TDC blog” along with our weekly “Family TDC blog.” Team parents will stay in the loop, and everyone can be an informed supporter!
