Nancy is a Southern California native and has been dancing for over 30 years. She trained in classical ballet, contemporary, and jazz at the prestigious Idylwild School of Music and the Arts for Dance and performed for Alvin Ailey, La Jolla Festival Ballet, and Ballet West in San Diego. Nancy was cast as the first homegrown Sugar Plum Fairy for the former Carmel Ballet Academy (CBA) and also danced the lead in The Red Shoes. During Nancy’s dance career, she worked with prestigious LA choreographers, including those who were an integral part of Michael Jackson’s team. At Hawaii Pacific University, Nancy received a full scholarship for Dance Team, and she pursued Political Science and Pre-Law. After relocating to the Peninsula, Nancy has continued to perform. Her local roles include The Nutcracker’s memorable Lead Maid, Ballerina Doll, and Soldier Doll, the comic pas de deux with Reed Scott in Carmel Follies, and a cast member of Monterey Peninsula College’s Anything Goes.
Nancy lives in Carmel and is responsible for the Sales and Marketing for The City of Monterey’s Conference Center. She is an active community member and supports such organizations as MY Museum and absolutely loves teaching dance. Nancy brings to TDC 20 years of instruction experience in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and tap. Outside of dance and work, Nancy cherishes time with her own little ballerina, daughter Lauren.
