As recent Utah Ballet soloist and a member of the corps, Amanda brings distinguished instruction specialization in pointe and advanced ballet to TDC. She is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah and began her formative training with Christy McQuaid in ballet, pointe, contemporary, and jazz. At the University of Utah, Amanda pursued a degree in Ballet with an emphasis in Ballet Teaching and Performance under the direction of Conrad Ludlow, Attila Ficzere, Sharee Lane, and Barbara Hamlin. As a high school senior, Amanda was admitted to the University of Utah’s Ballet Program and received the Willam F. Christensen scholarship. She additionally danced in Ballet West’s Nutcracker.
Amanda lives in Carmel with her incredible husband and two beautiful children. She loves being a mother, dancing, cooking, and traveling with her family. Amanda’s passion for instructing dance, specifically ballet, stems from her desire to help students learn the art that has given her so much joy throughout her life.
